The AreaThe island "Chiloe" is situated in the south of Chile between 42 and 44 degrees south, its length is about 180km (110 M). The area has been described as the best cruising ground in the world. It is spectacular, with numerous isolated anchorages, fascinating country and few developed harbours. "Chiloe" is separated from the mainland by the Golfo de Ancud and Golfo de Corcovado, making them great for sailing. You will find many islands with inviting fishing villages and bays to visit and explore. All the while enjoying the picturesque snowcovered volcanos and deep fjords with high cascades on the mainland. A visit to one of the many spectacular hotsprings is an unforgettable experience. How to get thereInternational flights arrive in Santiago de Chile. There are several planes per day ( by LanChile and Ladeco) form Santiago to Puerto Montt, about 90 minutes.
